REGULATIONS
Koatilm™ may be labelled as Chitosan and natamycin or natural preservatives. The regulations governing the use of Koatilm™ vary considerably in the countries in which it is currently approved. Advice regarding the legal status of this product is available on request.
Crown rot disease in many fruits is caused by Colletotrichum musae, Fusarium spp. and Lasiodiplodia theobromae, and occurs after cutting the banana hand from the main stem. The disease results in extensive postharvest losses. Koatilm enhances the endurance of fruits against enzymatic browning along with fungal infections.
 
BANANA
Banana dipping with Koatilm™ which significantly decreases the disease severity and helps maintain good fruit quality during 25 days of storage in low temperatures and during 8 days at room temperature.
