PhageX™ AS is accepted as a processing aid no labelling is required, approved by USDA/FDA GRAS, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Switzerland, The Netherlands (EU) and Canada.  
 
Bacteriophages work to infect and kill their target bacteria, while at the same time being harmless to humans and animals, makes them useful preservatives in both the detection and the control of pathogens at each stage of the food production process from farm-to-fork. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause an illness called salmonellosis in humans, thus it becomes crucial to take food safety into account in raw meat and poultry pordcuts.
